Hi
I think it has to be done in English so PGN knows you understand what it said..there have been some KO in the past in PGN when it was only done in Spanish..
You can go to Guatemala and sign the POA in person also..but someone correct me if I am wrong..it has to be in English and Spanish signing in person also?

I believe that you can prepare it both in English and in Spanish and they add a statement that says you understand what the POA in Spanish reads. Check with your agency and or attorney.

I only sent through the POA in Spanish. We received a copy of it in English also, but notorized and sent down the Spanish one. I have a copy of it in Spanish I can email if you want.

My attorney emailed me a copy of the POA in Spanish, that we signed and had notarized and expressed back to him. I never signed or even saw an English version. I did have a friend translate it for me before I signed it and it read just like it was supposed to.

We were submitted to PGN w/out preapproval to save some time and had one kickout but not for the POA... I can't even remember what it was now... but he resubmitted us with our preapproval at that time, and our total time spent in PGN was about a month.

I would say 'go for it' if you get the opportunity.

Judy

Mine was in Spanish with the English translation next to it. I have a friend with the same agency who received hers in English. Since she has a different attorney, I am wondering if this is left up to the attorney's descretion?
