I have preapproval, but I'm not in PGN. My agency said it will probably be another month before I get in PGN. Does that sound right. It seems to me most people get preapproval and go right into PGN.

We're right there w/you. We received pre-approval June 29 but are still in Family Court 3 where we have been stuck for 10 weeks. Our atty. seems to think we'll be out in the next 2 weeks. From his mouth to God's ears!

Do you know which court you're in and when you entered? Family Ct. 3 is supposed anti-adoption and tends to hold people up b/c of that.

This is my first post. I have been in family court since 6/25/05. I am anxiously awaiting any word. I'll have to check which family court I am in, if #3 is slow. I didn't realize there were different ones. I learn more about this process everyday!!

Holy cow! What the heck is going on? I really wouldn't know if I'm in family court or not. My wonderful agency doesn't give us this information. We only get word when we exit PGN.

I can relate to all of you! First, I think we are delayed in FC as well. We have had preapproval for about 3 weeks now and at the time we were still in FC. Second, like Rose, I do not get alot of information from my agency about these things. I did request that they tell me when we get into PGN and even asked again yesterday by email and still no answer. We were told to expect to be in FC from 6-8 weeks, although it seems most people are out faster than that. And-- I think I posted this on another thread--based on information that I HAVE received, I think we are about to reach that limit.

Who knows? We'll see soon, hopefully.......

I have no idea what court I'm in. I assume it must be 3 too because I know the social worker interviewed the birth mom right after the DNA test was taken.

try to keep your chin up-Family Court was our hold up-over 2 months!!**It all has to do with the social worker-ours went on vacation-then, took awhile to get the report done at the end**hopefully, after this stage, you will fly right through the rest of the process
