Change in Embassy Procedure
There have been postings on other boards from reputable individuals that I thought members of AF would be interested in.
The US Embassy in Guatemala City will no longer be issuing visas on the same day of the visa interviews. Therefore, all adoptive families will need to plan an additional day in Guatemala. The visa interviews will still be completed in the morning but the family will not be able to pick up the visa until the 3:30pm on the next work day.
