I600
If you are approved for two children and just bring home one for now, what is the purpose of bringing the second child home before the two year expiration date? You have to pay the whole fee for the secon child if they are not related to the first anyway right?
I think fingerprints are up at 18 months? Do you have to have the second child home in order to not do fingerprinting again? Thanks! |

Yes, you will have to pay the second I600 fee for the second child at the Embassy, so there is no savings there. But, if your fingerprints expire (15 months after they are taken) before you bring both children home, you have that added expense of being refingerprinted. If your 171H expires (18 months after issue), you also have the expense of a new homestudy to submit with the I600A to get a new 171H.
