Angelina Jolie to adopt again...
CNN just reported that Angelina Jolie is in the process of adopting a child from Ethiopia who has been affected by AIDS. I don't know if this meant the child has AIDS or not. CNN reported that she is being "closed lipped" about the adoption.

CNN just reported Ethiopia and here is the URL. If the URL is removed just go to cnn.com and do a search on Jolie adoption and you will find the link.

Actually on the Big Lsit there was a discussion. Apparently she toured several Russian orphanages and alienated at least one orphanage director there. That was like last winter or fall. The Ethiopia story is new.
Since she represents Unicef, let's hope there is some substance behind the media hoopla. |

Interesting enough the article says that if all the paperwork is in order it will only take two days to finalize everything! I was shocked to read that, only two days!

Let's get the adoption authorities in Guatemala to go to Ethiopia and take a crash course to learn how to process our paperwork in 2-days

If I had that kind of money I would adopt many children and bring them home, as many as I could!

I just wanted to add a bit more to the story.
I read elsewhere that Angelina Jolie is adopting a newborn female who was orphaned as a result of the AIDS epidemic in Ethiopia. The story I read (In People) also doesn’t indicate that this is a two day process…but indicates that, when the report was made, there were two days left until the process was completed. I also want to add that the Terms of Service, in respect to personal attacks, does not just apply to those attacks made against other members. Keep in mind that the media tends to sensationalize things for the “thrill of the story”…we’ve all seen it with the depiction of unethical practices in Guatemala playing out in the media.

I saw this morning that she was adopting a baby girl from Ethiopia that was orphaned by AIDS.
There was talk a while back about an adoption from Russia, but I guess she decided not to or the story wasn't true. Vicki

I'm very happy that she is adopting and doing something like this with the money that she has made regardless of what country it is or how long it takes.
![]() I can see how the 2-day statement could have been misinterpreted by the media. In the cnn online article Hadosh Halefom, head of the country's state-run adoption agency stated that it only takes 2-days but I suppose that quote could be incorrect.
