Our GC attorney is an idiot (Pink story)

Our agency has four couples (us, superguppy, bgaines, and one more) that are using this attorney. He has managed to completely mess up the final step of taking all of the final doc's to the Embassy so that they can issue everyone's Pink. Well he has been at it since last Monday (6/20) and from what our agency says he has turned this into one big mess. The only silver lining is that somehow we managed to get PINK!!!! Got the call late last night and are planning to be in GC Friday through Wednesday!! We truely hate it for the other couples, but we are finally going to be bringing Hannah home next week. Since we will get her on Friday, we will have a long weekend to spend with her, go to the Embassy on Tuesday, and home on Wednesday.

I'm very glad for you that you've got pink and can go get your baby...sorry for the other folks.

I have to wonder if it's Sr. Speedy...if not him, must be his evil twin...or at least law school roommate!

Tell me about it. This sickens me to peices. I was looking so forward to it. My husband has even called the embassy direct. They told him Tuesday afternoon that our pink would be in on Wednesday evening, we were thinking we might could fly out on Thursday (today) and just hope that we could be at the embassy a suprise visit on Friday. Well, we called the embassy back yesterday and they told us that it would be Tuesday before they would have pink because of the Holiday's. This is all because our attorney lied about when he took the documents back to the embassy. He told our agency that he took them back to the embassy last Thursday when we called the embassy we found out that they didn't actually get them until Tuesday. I could hit someone about right now. But, I know Tuesday is just right around the corner. Maybe we will see you in Guatemala. I believe we are staying at the Mariott.

Just Curious what was your babies name on the adoption website?

Congratulations on getting out--out--out! You certainly deserve it! I'm sorry that you had to deal with an incompetent, lying attorney--they give the rest of us a bad name. But I'm happy that you get to BRING HANNAH HOME!

Thanks all. We are hoping that the arrangements can be made so that we get Hannah tomorrow. If not we will have to wait until Monday. We will keep you posted.

Just checking in to say CONGRATS, ED!! I am very, very happy for you guys!!

Begaines, you and I can huddle together in the hopes that we actually get pink on Tuesday. My husband and I are flying out Wednesday regardless of whether we get it or not. We were scheduled to leave today until that MORON messed us up yet again.

Again though, for Ed: A huge Yahoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think we are the 4th family you are talking about. This is exactly our story and we know that we are one of 4 families this is happening to. This has to be the same "bright" attorney !!!

We ( my husband, 11 year old son, and I ) are travelling on Sunday as my husband had scheduled next week off many weeks ago in hopes that we would have PINK by the beginning of June. We are praying that we all have PINK on Tuesday.

We are staying at the Marriott also. We would love to meet some of you.

we are flying out on Tuesday regardless, yes we will be at the mariott as well. I could just pop this stupid man. It makes me so angry. But, if you look on the bright side of the issue. Your baby would not have been available to this agency with out him. So, I am thankful for him that we do have Abby.

Looks like we will be the last of the fearsome foursome to arrive! We changed our plans to travel to Guat. on Wednesday the 6th.

Hooray, Ed! Go get Hannah and bring her home! We did the same thing over Memorial Day... received the children on Friday, and had Embassy on Tuesday for a Wednesday homecoming. We spent the weekend secluded together in Antigua, and both ends of the trip at the Marriott.

The rest of you, I hope you get your pink asap.
