To get leap frogged. Someone from our agency got out of PGN in like 4 days - I think with even the same attorney. I've also been seeing quite a few people with close to my referral date getting done now. I've been depressed all day. Now I keep worrying that something is wrong with our file, or maybe we are going to be kicked out. I honestly don't know how some of you do it - seeing person after person pass you up.

I'm sorry you are getting depressed. But, your timeline is still REALLY GOOD. I have no idea if you are going to get a kick out or not, I hope not! Try to focus on the good (which can be really hard to do, I know from experience).

Hey sweetie- I can relate. Although I am not in PGN yet I have had other people get their preapproval with match dates after mine. So I understand. Just know that I am here rooting for you as you are for me and that it WILL happen. Our agency usually contacts people at the end of the day about getting out of PGN-Keep in mind that it is only 4:00 in Guatemala. Hope this helps sweetie-hang in there

I'm sorry, Amy. As happy as you can be for others getting out, and as much as you want to say "Hey, at least PGN is working," or "at least the attorney knows how to conclude a case," it still stinks...

Try not to get depressed... because it's always up and down, no matter where you are in the process...

And there's a secret about those of us who have been getting leapfrogged for months -- and, lemme tell you, I'm getting a pain craning my neck to watch all the folks jump right over me...people have gotten referrals, gotten through POA, DNA, FC, pre-app, in and out of PGN, birth certificate, pink, and pickup in just the time I've been in PGN!!!

The secret?

We've just about lost our minds. That's how we do it!

Thanks Crissie - I have NO right to complain - I feel so badly for you being subjected to this crazy embassy investigation. I really hope that they get moving and get it done soon for you. This whole process is just so arbitrary - I think it is the uncertainty that starts making me crazy.

You are one of the ones I always think about when I start getting frustrated with this process - I just have no idea how you do it (with or without your mind intact!) and you keep your sense of humor.

I know how you feel 70 days I was in - and watching people roll right out in a couple of days - More power to them - but it happens so please hang in there - IT WILL HAPPEN - sometimes later then sooner and trust me when it does that is when your head will start spinning.

Hang in there, girl. I can't offer any words of wisdom, but have faith that you will get out soon.

It is sometimes challenging to be truly, selflessly happy for others as you are going through this process and it's entirely normal and fine to think "why not me". The best we can do is to be happy for other's accomplishments, be there for each other when needed, and offer empathy to each other as we all know (or will know at some point) what the other is going through. Most of all, celebrate our own milestones.

Better days are coming.

I know how you feel. I was waiting for DNA for 2 1/2 months. I got my referral a few weeks after you and just got DNA approval last week. Now I know I have a good month or 2 to get preapproval. I hope you are out of pgn soon.

Hang in there! It will be over soon!! At least you know where you are in the process. I haven't seen a new picture of my baby in almost 6 weeks and have NEVER been given an update on where we are in the process!!!

Bonnie - sorry to hear that you are just now getting your DNA done - I know I should be glad that I'm even in PGN. I was doing fine, expecting to wait awhile, but then this news last night that someone got out in 4 days - how does that even happen? I hate to say I'm jealous, but I guess I am.

Oh Amy----I definitely feel your pain and anguish. It doesn't matter how long you have been waiting; the wait is hard.

I have been actively pursuing an international adoption for more than 2 years. I tried the domestic route before that. Somedays I think my sanity is gone; Other days I'm certain it is

I'll tell you how all of us long time waiters get through this-----because just like you we have no choice. It stinks but it's the truth.

I am hoping and praying that all of us see forward movement on our cases soon.

who was really hoping to hear some news on my little guy today (even though he's only been in PGN a few weeks) because he is 6 months old today. My daughter is 13 months old ---- still no end in sight.
