I'm just curious because we were expecting to get pictures once a month when our lil man goes to the doctor. So far we have rec'd 3 pics at referral (this was on a Tue), 2 pics the following Mon (last mon), and 4 pics today. How awesome would it be if this continued!?!?! I'm sure it will end, but I was just curious if anyone gets new pics weekly?

Hi Sabrina,

I'm not at this point yet but our agency sends pictures twice a month. Once from the doctor's visits and once when the agency director visits the babies. I hope all the pictures you are getting keep coming!

That's great! Ours are monthly. Actually it is twice monthly, but our two updates always fall during the same week, so we get two sets of pics during that week.

Every six to eight weeks, so you are quite lucky....

This is what I have received so far:
1) Referral
2) 2.5 months
3) 4.0 months
4) 6.0 months

Luckily i visited at 5 months.

Twice a month. Once mid month, and once from the doctors visit, which for us is at the begining of the month, so it will work out to be about every two weeks.

Wow...we've only received photo's once (at the time of the referral). We've asked, but they haven't been able to forward any. In fact, we also have to push to get any updates at all.


The next photo we received was nearly two months later when we got the DNA paperwork. We've visited since and took tons of photo's to help hold us over.

Once a month...Sent a camera down with our lawyer who visited and got a couple more.. aren't the pictures great, wish it was the real thing though...

With our first adoption (3 years ago) we only got two sets of pictures throughout the whole process. We got about 4 at referral and then another set of 10-14 when she was 3 months old.

We get an update once a month that include pictures. We have sent down disposable cameras also with others traveling to get additional pictures.

Of course once you visit you take a ton and are happy for quite a long time.

Our pictures have been coming once and month, than all of a sudden I had new ones today! I was so shocked because we got out last set 2 weeks ago. I would love it if they sent us pictures every 2 weeks.

wow, I am jealous! We got referral pictures then a medical update and pictures when she was just over a month old. Since then, nothing. Fortunately, I took about a million pictures during our visit.

i hope the trend continues for you!

we have gotten very consistent pictures.

usually around the middle end of the month.

for our first referral they often came around the 15-18 of the month.

with TR2 they seem to come in the middle to late 20s of the month.

I LOVE these updates.
they include a couple pictures, some type of medical update...weight length etc.

Received pictures when we accepted his referral at around 2 weeks old. Not a %*$^#&% one since. He turns three months old July 4th. Luckily we will be down there taking 100's of pictures then!
