Renal Reflux

Anyone have a child diagnosed with renal reflux once they've gotten home?

Hi
Ana had a kidney infection after being straight cathed as part of a fever workup and the doc wanted her to have the workup for reflux from the bladder to the kidney. Her renal sonogram was fine and I did not let her get the test where they inject the contrast into her bladder because I felt the infection was caused by the catheter. It is graded on a scale..like 1-5, 5 the most severe, as far as I can remember..some doc's want the kids on long term antibx and then they do another test after 1 year. If it is severe there is surgery they can do..but most doc's just use a wait and see attitude and give antibx to prevent furthur infections.
