Cute Boy Names

Hi Everyone. My husband and I are trying to decided if we are going to adopt a boy or a girl. When we talk about baby names we agree on girl names, and actually have a list of three. Carolina, Molly, and Ellie.

When it comes to boys we have such a hard time coming up with names. We do have one son. His name is Cory. My Husband is Harry Jr. and since his father has passed away his family wants us to adopt a boy and name him Harry III. My husband and I are not thrilled with that suggestion, but can not come up with other names.

Everyone did such a great job sharing ideas for girls names!! Can anyone send suggestions for boys?

Thank you for your help,
Maureen

I love the name Harry (both of my grandfathers were named Harry!). I wanted to name my son after my grandfathers and no one in the family liked the name and convinced me not to name my son Harry. Instead, I chose each of their Hebrew names and thus, my son became Nathan Meyer. Does your husband's father have a middle name you could use?

Secretly, I love the name Mateo though!!

Best of luck in your decision!

Well, obviously I am partial to Alec and Daniel but two others we considered were Jacob and Jonah. We also liked Michael and Matthew, but have brother's-in-law named both and a nephew Michael Jr. so they were kind of "taken."

My husbands middle name is Lee. I actually really like the name Harry, it is cute.

The issues we have with same names are

1. it can be confusing with the same name of the father and son. We have problems with credit reports that have been crossed between Harry and His Father. My brother and Father are both named Scott and their credit has been crossed also.

2. I don't want my son Cory to feel that he isn't special because he is not named Harry.

Thanks for your help!

My son's are Ben (Benjamin) and Jack (Just Jack!) I've always had an easier time with boy names here are some I love:

Quinn
Anthony (not tony)
Landon
Levi
Lucas
Luke
Blake

Good luck. I know a couple who named their son after someone, but they call him a nick name and that is his everyday name. Just a suggestion if you cave to the pressure.

If you want a third, you can nickname him Trey - means the third. I love the sound of Trey. I would use it if I were in that situation. Have fun with the name game.

I started the girl name thread. Since I have 2 sons, I've thought about boys' names, alot. I like the idea of using a name that sounds good in both English and Spanish (I am Hispanic). Here are some ideas:

Cristian/Christian (my baby's name)
Julian (my toddler's name)
Sebastian
Adrian
Gabriel (my baby's middle name)
Tomas/Thomas (my toddler's middle name)
Daniel
David
Nicolas/Nicholas
Simon
Roman (my stepdad's name)

Mary

I have a friend whose name is Gerald and he is third generation so he also goes by Trey. He was able to carry on the tradition of hte name, however his nickname is fun and avoids confusion....I like that idea.

If you want different names, I personally like Tomas & Mateo.

Regards,
Brandy

I have a Michael (Mikey). He is a III. My suggestion is DON'T. Having 3 people with the same name is really confusing.

Our new addition is Matthew. We call hime Matty. I assume that someday he will be Matt. Pretty versatile name.

I also like Luke, Timothy, Nicholas, Zachary, and Johnny.
