I can't believe how many referrals there have been in the past few days! I was wondering when other angels are expecting to receive their referrals? Our agency is saying at least a six month wait for a girl, just wondered where others were at!

When we went on the list last week we were looking at 1-2 months for a girl.

We have been on the list for a baby girl referral since 3/9/05 and we were told 4-6mos wait.

The first girl born has been ours for the last 6 weeks! Still no girls have been born. We're ready! There is a lady due this month, so maybe.

We have been our agency's list since mid February. They told us four-five months. We were number three in line for a girl at the beginning of May. We started at number 7! So it's been about 2 girls a month- we'll see. I'm really hoping/ thinking this month.

We have both referrals in our hands and we're just waiting for the pediatrician to review the video & photos before we accept them.

My understanding is that referral wait varies a lot by agency. We waited 6 business days for #1 and 8 business days for #2. And believe it or not, we got the girl referral first.

But before I breed a lot of envy...our agency is known for this pro and many other cons.

We are #2 on our agency's list for a baby girl, and were told that we should expect a referral within the next 3 weeks

this is a grumpy topic for me these days,

my agency , and i do understand, won't allow referrals before the I171 gets sent,

the positive aspect is when i do get it i will be next one up fopr a girl, now if it were a boy they would give me the referral before, because there are more boys

the negative, i may have to wait more than 2 months for my I171

That was a sore subject for me too, when I was waiting for our I 171h (for Eli and Nic). Hopefully yours will come very soon.

We weren't given a time or number. Just whoever has 171h and dossier finished is next. They also consider the families and try to make the best match possible. Kind of the luck of timing.
