Arrow Any news on Guatemala City Birth Certificates?????????

Okay, I know we aren't the only ones waiting for the GC BC. Any body received one lately? What in the world could be the hold up?

Our little guy turns 6 months old this week and I am beginning to lose my mind..........

Anybody have any news (hopefully good) about the status of the GC Birth certificates? Anybody?

My agency was there last week and she said the GC BC's are taking between 2-3 weeks. You should have yours soon!

I'm waiting too! Going totally crazy waiting!

We were out of PGN in late April and have waited a little over 3 wks now. I'm hoping we'll hear something this week.

Our son is 10 months now, pulling up on the furniture, has more than 2 teeth (?) and eating all table foods. I hope we can see at least ONE "first"!

Please pray for us!

When I was visiting, my attorney said it is taking two weeks, but a few friends that got out of PGN at the end of April, just got the BC last week. So, it looks to me like it is taking three weeks average! Thats better than eight weeks!

Hi Nina,
I am rooting for you! Our GC BC took exactly 4 weeks. With things getting a little better, I have heard it is cut down now to 3 weeks-but if you think 4 and be surprised at 3, it won't be bad. As soon as we got our bc, we traveled-because we wanted to be there as Livvy turned 6 months old. While we were there, we got pink. It was good for us, because we got some nice time to bond with Livvy before coming home, and we got to know her homeland better.
I am sure you will hear something soon.
Tracy

Wow, I would be so happy if the wait is really closer to 3 weeks. My sister is getting married on June 26 and all my family is going to be in town (We live closer to the West Coast and most of my family is in Massachusettes). I would love to show them off.

Come on GC Civil registry!!!

This is Getting Crazy

I have been waiting for two weeks now. It should be a law that they have to turn them over in 48 hours. These babies are legally ours now and we want them home. Enough of this waiting. I think we have all waited long enough. Just sign them all together. Not one a week. Come on Civil Registry lets get moving. Ok can you tell im getting angry. I want my baby home!!!

I got out of PGN on 4/28 and am still waiting on a BC. The agency told me it would take about 4 weeks. I still don't understand WHY it takes 4 weeks -- it's so frustrating!!!!!!!!!

We will be out of PGN 2 weeks tomorrow, I am hoping to see that others are getting their GC BC soon and we will too. Patience is a virtue that I don't seem to have this week, I want a BC now!!!

do any of you know . . .

when you were submitted for the birth certificate? For example, if you exited PGN and were told "four weeks" for the birth certificate, was your attorney allowing a week or two to find the birthmom and get her last signature before submitting the paperwork to the Civil Registry?

Or was he going to hold your paperwork a few days until he had another case or two, then go to the Registry and drop them off on one trip?

I know, for example, that we were submitted to the registry on Monday May 23. So I'm counting 2-3 weeks from that date . . .
