Favorite baby boy names

Hi Everyone,

My sister is having a baby and can't come up with any baby boy names. I would love to hear all your favorites to pass along to her. She has two kids now: Noah and Abigail (if it's a girl it will be Amelia Evelyn). Thanks for the help!!

I love adding a traditional family name in the middle. It gives a sense of history. For example, I have a Thomas Franklin (my favorite name followed by my grandfather's name). He may not like his middle name Franklin when he is a teen, but will appreciate being named for a great man when he is older

It sounds like she likes biblical names. The little boy across the street is Josiah -- but he is Joey to all his little friends! His little brother's name is Gabriel.

I guess I should mention that the middle name has to begin with the letter "A" and their last name starts with the letter "A". UG. A family tradition on her husband's side. She does like bilbical names, but it doesn't have to be biblical by any means. Thanks so far for all the input.

I am going to use Aaron or Isaiah....I love both of them..... (Yes, my baby is already one month old...I am hoping that when I get his one month pictures this week, I'll be able to decide between the 2 names...) I am using his birth name for his middle name.

My all time favorite boys name is John. John is strong. John can be Johnny or Jack as nicknames. Unfortunately my husband likes the name but thinks it is too popular. We named our son Charles and call him Charlie. We also like George, Max, Steven, Anthony, William, Luke, and my secret favorite, Thor.

Good luck to your sister! She can look at the website of the social security administration and see all the names from the last 100 years.

Cheers,
Susan

Of course, my favorite boys' names are Julian and Christian (my sons' names). Here are some others I considered while I was pregnant with them:

Adrian
Sebastian
Tristan
Gabriel (my younger son's middle name)
Daniel
Nathaniel

Best of luck to your sister!

Of course I love Dante since that's what we named our son. Other boy names we considered

1. Cooper
2. Ethan
3. Joshua

Don't forget to post when she has the baby and what she names the baby if a boy.

I don't have much in the way of suggestions, I tend to like the more traditional names, Matthew, Michael, Daniel, Alexander, etc., but on this topic, if you haven't seen it yet, there is an absolutely HILARIOUS site that some mother put together, called
Baby's Named a Bad, Bad Thing
A Primer on Parent Cruelty
http://www.notwithoutmyhandbag.com/babynames/

and seriously, you'll end up rolling on the floor when you see some of the names that are up for consideration out there!!

Aiden was #1 on our list (but we elected to keep the birth names!).
