readoption / recognize foreign adoption time frame?
When a child comes home to Indiana on a IR 3 they are already a citizen. It is my understanding that you have the choice that you can do a readoption. However people have indicated it is a requirement to petition the court in the county you live in to recognize a foreign adoption. Is there a time frame in which all has to be done in? I have ask my agency but they are clueless to the laws in Indiana. Can anyone assist me?
Also does everyone have to have a post placement home study at 6 mos?

We were told that the child had to be in our home for 60 days before we could file the papers for the re-adoption/recognition of a foreign birth certificiate...we're coming up on that now.. we're in Alabama, and I'm going to do it without an attorney, and hope it all works out....
