It sounds like things are closed today in Guatemala, so I hope this short holiday gets all the Embassy staff feeling refreshed and invigorated so they can get those preapprovals movin' out the door!

The Embassy is working!
I got an e-mail from the embassy...no, not pre-approval, they were responding to an e-mail I sent them 2 weeks ago! I saw the e-mail in my inbox and my heart skipped a beat. I was thinking"wow-Finally it's here!". Then the rude awakening! I wasn't even expecting a response because they alreay responded 10 days ago
 But, the point is, they are working today, so hopefully they got a lot of work done considering all the lawyers, pgn were probably off? Wishful thinking.... Tracey

Glad to hear the Embassy was working today. I'm still waiting for a reply to an email that I sent them two weeks ago---I wish they would respond with my preapproval! I just keep thinking that I have to get it at some point because I haven't seen anybody else stuck here FOREVER! I picture myself still frantically checking this list when my daughter is 2, then 3, then 4, then 5 and so on and so on and so on. AACCCKKKK---I am feeling at the end of my rope this evening.

I would love to add you to the list---just need to know the date you received a DNA match. The preapproval waiters list is based upon the date of DNA match and really is not connected at all to the Family Court process although Family Court often does happen at the same time you are waiting on preapproval from the Embassy. If you have questions, feel free to ask---I'll try to help.

Greetings from Guatemala
The embassy IS working today. While I didn't go there :-( there were a number of families that did head there today.
Trip was great. It was so hard to give him back today. I heard that I'm out of FC and going into PGN w/o preapproval tomorrow. Looks like I'm joining the ranks of folks on two lists. Here's hoping for everyone!
