Question Wording of Notary Statement

I hate to keep asking questions about the notary, but I want to make sure that all of our documents are done correctly. We only have the county and state of the notary in our notary statement, but our homestudy agency's sample also included "United States of America". Does anyone know if "USA" has to be included in the notary statement? Our social worker said she thought it would be ok, but was going to ask the placement agency just to be sure. I really hope she's right because I am not looking forward to doing these documents a third time. Thanks in advance!!

I would check your particular state. For example, my Sec'y of State's office, in MO, has a page on certifications that has sample wording for the Notary oath. I don't believe ours had to have US on it. Just type in your state name and Secretary of State in Google and you should get there.

Good luck,

Hi LadyTink, I'm from KY too and our notary paragraphs just ask for county and state. And by the way, there is an adoption seminar in Louisville on May 14 if that is closer to you than Lexington.
