I called yesterday to check on our fingerprints and it looks like it might be another 2 weeks until we get our I171H in the mail. Everything in in Guat. so we are hoping that it will indeed come, a bit disappointed today.

We are so lucky to be living in an area with a QUICK INS!!! We were fingerprinted on Thursday, I171H in the mail today!!!! WOW!! Is there a "waiting for referral list"????
Good luck to everyone else....hope it happens quick for you guys too!

Wow you are lucky! I think someone was talking about starting a waiting for referral list, but not sure if anyone is taking on the responsibility.

Hi,
I'm going to repost this here, if that's alright. I put it on the immigration board first because I hadn't found much mention of the Boston office.

"I'm posting this in case anyone is waiting for their 1-171H from Boston. We sent the 1-600A out on March 30th, it was logged in as received on April 1st, we got a finger-printing letter within days, and a letter confirming our application, the next day. On April 9th, we went for finger-printing in Hartford (we live in Connecticut). Tonight, I came home to happy news, that immigration called while I was gone, and told my daughter that it was approved. He said that we'd get our official letter in a couple days.
We had heard some rumors before that it would take 4 months, and this was from a reputable adoption agency, so we were really thrilled!"
