Here a little update about Elias, home since a year now. He’s 15 Months old now and just FULL of energy, happy, very active and lively, nothing to do with the quiet, calm baby he was. I surely am busy with him, he goes into EVERYTHING
, we keep all dangerous things out of hand, but he knows how to find new things you wouldn’t think. He’s been quite sick during the year, we had to go a lot to the doctor but it’s nothing to really worry about. He sleeps still 12 hours at night + 2 hours nap time, eats well, says a couple of words and understands a lot. He’s already having some fights with his big brother, every time he gets into trouble, he comes right to you and kisses you… he knows how to manage the whole family! Hum… The only “difficult” point we have with him is that he’s extremely attached to me and my husband can’t help in doing things with him, we get a bit frustrated with that, even if we know that this will pass. Loris finally reacts and is jealous, which I think is positive. There is competition between them but that is at least normal. We are doing paperwork again to finalize the adoption in our country now so he will become Swiss. We are so thankful for our 2 miracles and the rough times of the process are really forgotten. I’ll remain thankful to this amazing board and the wonderful people that helped me!! Best wishes to the old timers and to the ones in process too. Here a picture of Elias:

Congratulations on two extremely handsome young men! And what a relief to have the adoption process behind you for them. By the way, ever since I first saw your timeline I have been amazed at how quickly you brought your boys home (although the wait is long no matter how short of a time frame it takes, I know).
Congratulations again! Carolyn

Manuela,
The boys are soooo handsome! I'm glad they're doing so well! Elias sounds a lot like Luke and how Luke will be in another 5 months! Into EVERYTHING!! He is very entertaining, and though he prefers me, he will let Dad do a few things for him. I can't believe it's already been a year since Elias came home! Loris sure has a beautiful smile! It's definitely normal to be a little jealous.. my 7 yr. old has her moments, but for the most part, she is totally enchanted with her new baby brother. As far as your timeline goes.... having the right attorney is the key to it all, in my opinion! I found that out firsthand! Thanks for posting your updates... good to see you on here! Post more pics when you get time! Take care, Judy

Manuela---What handsome boys!!! I am so glad you updated us. I remember when you were in process with Elias and although I know the time from referral to home was short; I know you waited a very long time for a referral. He is adorable and I know he was well worth the wait.
Isabelle----it is good to hear from you again too! Your English is great so no need to worry. I can't speak any French, so you are way ahead of me.

Isabella!! So glad to read from you, yes it has been a long time and would love to have some news about Oscar!!
About our timeline, to make a long story short for those who didn't know us, yes we had a great lawyer that works fast and well. We got stuck in the "Hague Mess" period, so our dossier layed in Guatemala for a year and 3 Months and we didn't know if we would be able to adopt again from Guatemala. The miracle happened and after referral it really went fast. But to this day Switzerland is closed for adoptions from Guatemala... that makes me very sad, angry sometimes, but that is another story. Thanks for your replies!!

Manuela,
Has it already been one year??? It's amazing how time flies when you're having fun! It seems like that year of waiting for a referral and for the Hague to work itself out dragged on forever, but here you are already celebrating one year of fun with your youngest! The boys are gorgeous! Elias reminds me so much of Jeremy. They are both big boys and equally mischievious! I love hearing about how Loris and Elias are getting on together. Thanks so much for your update! Kim PS. Isabelle, your English is great! Please don't be afraid to post. We'd love your input!

Manuela..
He has grown so much! Both of your boys are just adorable..I think it is amazing how much they look alike.. Ana is also very attached to me and it took her until recently (21 months old) for my sister to be able to take her out without her crying. Yesterday she "fingerpainted" the front door with yogurt, was trying to play in the toliet water, poured liquid soap in the dogs water bowl, dumped her juice into the tupperware, put the cat's dry food into the water dish, throws her food on the floor, took the dogs canned dogfood off the plate and put in into her doll stroller..she also tries to run into the road and darts off in stores and supermarkets..yikes.. We will both get through these years somehow! At least Elias is sleeping well and napping..Ana gave up her afternoon nap at 19 months and only slept 3 nights 6-8 hours and is back to being up 4x a night or more again.. What I wouldn't give for her to sleep 10-12 hours just one night.. It is so nice to hear from you..how are things in Switzerland? Thanks for the photos of your handsome boys!
