Announcement help needed.. what was your opening phrase...
I am starting to get serious about our babys announcements.. but I cant find a phrase to put at the top of the announcement that would be fitting.. Can you help me ... i need ideas!!! lol I would love to see some too.

I would take a look at some of the websites that do announcements. They have a number of really nice choices. I did not buy any of those, I bought some blank ones from a local department store that allowed us to insert a picture into it---so I used one of their phrases. I can't remember which phrase I used, but I remember having many to choose from.

Ours said,
"After 3 years....." (outside of card) "We are finally 3!!" (inside of card) and then we put a picture of Guatemala, and Meeah on it. It turned out real cute.

We're planning something simple:
We joyfully announce the homecoming of
[name] Born: [date] in Guatemala City, Guatemala Homecoming: [date] to Chicago, Illinois Simple, but we like simple. The really delightful part of it is that I'm making them on colored paper. At the bottom I'm using a stamp of three elephants that after I stamp I hand-color them with bright colors. They're really cute and my friends all know I have a thing for elephants, so they will get the symbolism of the elephants. After our hoped-for-son comes home I'll post a picture of one. Have fun! Our says "We welcome the arrival of..." at the top, then has her full name. Under the name it says "Born (her birthdate) Guatemala" then "Joined our family (our embassy date)" My husband name and mine are at the bottom. It also includes a color photo of the baby.
