I am going on Monday to the consulate to get my dossier authenticated and then sending it FedEx for Tuesday delivery. I have my referral, but they wont do anything with DNA until I get my I-171h back. That is frustrating. She's getting older by the minute.

Does anyone think it's possible with the time frames to be able to visit by end of May and maybe pick her up by July?

Well, I'm sure praying. By the way, what is POA?

POA is power of attorney. I think that it is a form you sign to allow the lawyers to work on your behalf on the adoption. What has your agency told you in terms of time frame. We were told 7-9 months when we got our referral but some agencies seem to get things done more quickly. Sometimes it is longer because of problems that come up during the adoption process outside of your agency's or lawyer's control. Sometmes things move along quickly and sometimes, for no apparant reason, things move as slow as molasses in (a Minnesota) January! Our agency would let us go to visit as soon as we got our paperwork (including the I171H) to Guatemala but some won't let you go until the DNA is cleared. I hope your I 171 H comes soon. Mine took about 3 weeks to come back.
