Can you move during adoption?

We are wondering if you can move a few miles away during the adoption?

We moved during our first adoption process and just had to have an "update" done. I think it cost us $500 and they just came out to the house and re-did that part of the homestudy.

I'm going to bump this because we started looking at houses this weekend. We're not on a mission to move but we are looking and if we find the right one that has more room we'll make an offer. Thanks for asking that Stephanie!!

I'm almost positive we only had to update the homestudy. The I-171H was not involved (at least not 3 years ago when we moved). Unless things have changed it SHOULD only be the homestudy. Good luck.

I moved states and changed jobs during the adoption process, and it was not a problem. I did have to update the home study, though.
