Nickname ideas?

Friends,
DH & I have chossen names for our two little ones, and hope to be receiving referrals soon.

We decided that we were going to share the fact that we are adopting once we have referrals. However, I'm thinking about not sharing the names. I'm afraid of something happening.

Then I read a thread from cr653 who has nicknamed her beautiful newborn TR2. And I thought, "Hey! how about a nickname until we're ready to share?'

Ideas anyone?? Please...
So far I'm thinking Gsqaured & Bsquared "Gorgeous girl" and "Beautiful Boy"

too cute!!! or G.G. and B.B.
this is a very good idea...a way to protect your heart, alittle. We just jumped in and our using our picked name and his birth middle name, and are hoping for the best.

We just use "Baby Girl" around others and "Baby Sister" around our son. We really are just protecting him from having to be aware of any loss, should we somehow lose our referral. This way any baby to him is "Baby Sister".

How funny - we call our daughter "Peanut" too. At the present time, I'm pregnant and expecting a boy. We are keeping the name a secret but lovingly refer to him as our "Jellybean". So, we've got Peanut and Jellybean....

I am loving this idea of nickname until everything is complete. We are headng into our 3rd referral. However, the first one we didn't get far enough to name etc. We do have a real name for the baby and had a hard time explaining to the kids that we are keeping the name although we lost the referral... So after a very stressful week with losing referral number two, I just had the funniest conversation with my husband and we have decided that until we are out of PGN we are calling our baby C3PO....we were talking and thought TR2 was similar to R2D2 then we were on a roll...after all the stress we got so giddy after reading this post and it brought our sense of humor back after many tears this week....so anyone else out there who would like to nickname their referrals YODA, OBIE WAN or JEWBAKA or JABBA, PRINCESS LEAH...is welcome to join in the fun. Eventually, our baby will be Matea (which means gift from God)....but hopefully everyone will see me posting the exciting news that C3PO (our 3rd referral and 3rd child) has been referred to us this week or next. We are not big Star Wars fans...just inspired by TR2.and wanting a little levity in a very stressful process...
