Hot Tamales
Mix In Blender 2 Medium Onions( I Like A Few More For My Taste) 4 Cloves Of Garlic 6 Tb Chile Powder 1 Can Tomatoes(drained) 2 To 4 Jalapeno Peppers 2 Tb Cumin 2 Tea Salt 2 Tb Chile Mix( I Use Ketcup) 1/2 Of A 8oz. Tomato Sauce 1/2 Cup Water Pour Above Ingredients Into Meat Mixture After Blended Meat Mixture 1 1/2 Ground Meat 1 Lb Hot Sausage 1/2 Cup Yellow Corn Meal Mix All Together And Let Stand 15 Minutes Or You Can Let Stand Covered In Frig Over Night Put Corn Meal In Bowl And Drop A Well-rounded Tablespoon Of Meat Mixture Into Corn Meal, Roll Lightly To Shape, Like A Tootsie Roll, Corm Meal Will Stick To The Meat. Place Roll On A Wet Tamale Paper And Roll Securely. Stack Tamales In Large Pan. Pour Steam Mixture Over Tamales And Add Water To Cover Tamales. Simmer On Medium Heat 1 Hour 15 Minutes Or More Until Cooked (i Use A Doulbe Boiler On Top Of Stove Or I Bake Them In The Oven, You Need To Cook Them Longer If Oven Is Used.) Steam Mixture 1/2 Of A 8 Oz Tomato Sauce 2 Tb Chile Powder 1 Can Tomatoes 2 Tea Salt 2 Tb Chile Mix After 30 Minutes Check Water And Refill Water To Cover Tamales. |
