I know my frustration right now is nothing compared to those waiting for their babies to come home , but my baby has been home almost a year and we STILL don't have a date for the readoption hearing! In MA, one must wait 6 months after coming home before filing any papers for readoption. My attorney filed the papers in early Nov. Now, because the courts are so backed up, we aren't even able to get a hearing scheduled yet. I 'll be lucky if we get the hearing by the summer! Then I've been told it takes 3-5 months to get the papers back from the court so the birth cert can be amended and I can file for my daughter's CoC. Has anyone else from MA or any other state experienced such a slow process? I feel like we'll be lucky if all of this paperwork is completed by the time my daughter is 3 (and she came home at 5 months)!
Sorry for the vent! I know that I'm lucky to have her home and that this is all just a bunch of red tape. It's just after such a long process (10 months through the Hague mess for a referral and then 5 months to bring her home), this feels like it will never end. Thanks for listening!

Feeling your frustration. We haven't got a court date yet either or system is as well backlogged. We still have 1 month left before our 6 months is up but we were told that after our court date to expect a 6 MONTH wait for our birthcertificate to be issued. HOLY COW!!! OH well patience patience patience my husband tells me.
