Is Anyone Working in Civil Registry?
I'm about to lose my mind. I know we all keep posting this same question, but I wanted to know if anything new has been said.
I'm just so frustrated!

My director spoke with one of our attorneys yesterday...he says the new woman is worse than the old one and is VERY anti-adoption. So...it doesn't look as if things are going to get better anytime soon.

I am wondering if she is anti adoption then how long can she hold out before signing? At some point wouldnt the Attys or someone get involved?

I don't have any news, but I just wanted to tell all of you waiting for your BC's that I am praying for you and praying that you'll hear something soon, despite the new replacement, who is anti-adoption.... Where do they find these people???

You can email me...but all I have heard is that Paco says the new woman is very anti adoption. She is working...but slowly and she is apparently not happy to do adoption work.

My agency was in Guatemala this past week. They really did not have anything new to report on the GCBC's except that it was still a BIG mess. They also said that they would be closed all next week and would re-open March 28th. We have been out of the PGN since Feb. 2. Way too long to wait. I keep trying to be hopeful but it is getting hard. Heather

We have been told week after week that our atty is being told to come back and it will be done tomorrow. this week they were told Monday to come back in two days ... we still have not heard what is going on. This is very frustrating when you are trying to plan to bring home a baby, take time off from your job and just have a little sanity. We just keep praying not only for ourselves but for everyone be the hurdle PGN or this BC mess!! Take care Barb & John

I just read the post, and I wish this woman did not get the job. They should have given it to a pro-adoption worker. To me, this is discrimination.

I just wanted to tell each of you that I am so sorry you are going through this. It seems so unfair that if the adoptions have gone through with the birthmother's fourth and final signature, it should not be held up with things like this. I am praying for all of you. I have a very special friend waiting on pink and it is so frustrating to watch her upset every day because of all the hold ups. I truly pray each of you get good news soon. Well the mean lady has signed at least 1 BC in the last couple of days. My agency called around 1:00 today to say we did get ours. We have been waiting 5 weeks for it. But on a sad note she will not be home for Easter. Because of the Holy week next week. She did not feel things would be open and people working to get our pink slip. So I still have to wait to bring my baby girl home. But I do finally have a travel date.
I hope you all get your BC very soon.

I started the thread then I emailed my agency. All they could tell me was that they have no update. She said my attorney goes as many times as she can to check on her cases in CR. She said that is if she can get past the demonstrators and then she has to stand in a long line of very angry attorneys to basically get no updates. They haven't seen angry.
