Need help - quest. on Child Abuse Check!!
Hi there....on the PA child abuse history clearance request, it asks for all previous addresses since 1975. I had 3 addresses in college!! I have NO idea what they are/were...except the campus one, and I certainly don't remember the dorm room #!! Just the building. I had 2 off-campus apartments...I would have to drive up there to find the #'s on the houses I lived in!! Do they really need all of those addresses, or just the "main ones"?? Thanks!!

Ummm ... I haven't started the adoption process yet, so I can't answer from that perspective. But for whatever it's worth, I had to have police checks done for my job (since I work with kids), and I had the same problem you do. I lived in two different dorm rooms, and three different apartments when I was in college. I was able to get the addresses for the apartment complexes off the internet, but had no way of getting the apt # without driving six hours and looking at the door of the apartment!
So I put as much information as I could, which in some cases was a street address but no apartment number. And if the PA in your post means Pennsylvania, then that's where I live too so I possibly filled out the same form that you are talking about. I don't know if they would have different standards for adoption vs. for a job. But hopefully this helps! |

Have you asked your parents (my mom knows every place I've lived better than I do)?

did you ever consider calling the college to see if they have your addresses on file???? Just a thought... or the postmaster??? Do they keep record of that?

You might want to get one of the free credit reports from one of the big agencies. I remember when we bought our house I was surprised how every address, including ones I forgot was listed there for both me and my husband. Good Luck
