Hi there...we are anxiously awaiting a HS referral from our agency...but in the meantime I thought I'd post...we are in Allentown, PA...looking for speedy HS social worker/group...would like to pay extra to expedite!! (if that is an option) (Shannon, I know who you used!) Can anyone recommend? I hate to call Adopt. From the Heart as we ended up choosing a different agency...but maybe it is still okay/customary to contact an agency you aren't using?

We're sort of stuck in limbo waiting for our out of state agency to refer us to a HS...our contact there is traveling in Guat. right now, so kind of hard for her to work on it for us. Any help would be so appreciated!! Thanks!! Linda

I'm not in PA, but are there any listings in your local yellow pages under adoptions/home study?
I thought I did an internet search for home study agencies and came up with a list for Delaware, but that was at least two years ago.
Glad you found a placement agency that you seem comfortable with.

I think in PA they have the statewide adoption network (swan) you can always google it and see what comes up. Good luck!!

I tried to PM you, but your mailbox is full. You can PM me if you want a name/phone number. You don't need to use an adoption agency to do a home study. I used the local social-work agency, Chidren's Aid Society. They were quick and effective, and cost less than every adoption agency I spoke with.

I live near Lansdale, and so you're probably covered by a different branch.

We had someone out of Philly right near the USCIS.
