Let me start by saying, sometimes I miss the obvious For the PAW list, how is the days waiting calculated? Smylinatya (by the way, just got that!! Smiling at ya - see what I mean about missing the obvious???!!) got DNA results on 2/2, results rec'd by Embassy on 2/7 and was told of pre-approval on 2/22. But she is listed as 13 days waiting. When does the days waiting start? Wouldn't she be 20 days or 15??

I'm sure I'm missing something because desilu got results 2/2, rec'd by embassy on 2/4, pre-approval rec'd on 2/24 but is listed as 29 days waiting. Help! I'm so confused. Really I'm just trying to figure out wait times...

We got results on 2/16 with results rec'd by Embassy on 2/18. I thought 15 days seemed right for me, but now I'm not sure. Help, I'm drowning in subtraction!

Shannon,

The way this database was set up the notified column is the date the results were received. This is the date used in the formula to count the number of days waiting. You are right about some of the calculations for those who have received preapproval being incorrect----I never noticed. It must be changing something when I move them to this list. I'll go back and re-calculate those and try to have them corrected on tomorrow's list.

I first want to say how incredibly grateful I am that there is even a list and that you are nice enough to keep it going. I'm sure it eats up time in your week when you would rather be doing other things. Thank you also for clearing up for me when the wait time begins. It looks like, barring an investigation (picture me crossing fingers) we might have our next week.

Please don't feel like you need to recalculate or adjust anything on my account. I was more concerned that number of days I'd been waiting was not as long as I'd hoped it was.

Again, thank you so much for doing the list. You've saved all of us countless hours scrolling through people's timelines trying to figure out how long pre-approval takes.

PS Congrats on referral #2. Looks like our boys are only three days apart

Funny, I counted that to and was trying to figure out if maybe weekends weren't counted? That didn't work so I tried to not count the day I was notified and no weekends...there were a few different scenerios that I tried and the only thing they all had in common was....I have PREAPPROVAL :-) I think I have called just about everybody I know. If it feels this good to have preapproval, I can imagine what it must be like to say something like "I HAVE PINK" I get a lump in my throat just thinking about it. Speaking of lumps, have you seen any of those adoption stories? I can't help buy cry every time I see the parents holding the baby for the first time...it has got to be surreal. I think this is my favorite thread...I'm going to come back here often :-)

Hey everyone----I think I've figured out the error. When I was moving them to the bottom of the list, it was messing up the formula. Anyway--I think I have it fixed. I'm a little math impaired sometimes though, so I am counting on all of you to help keep me on track

Jenn---I can completely understand why you would be feeling on top of the world. I am so ecstatic at every little step I take forward, that I also cannot imagine how I will feel when I can finally say the word PINK for one of my own.
