My dd came home on an ir3---i readopted----and applied for a new coc----with name change---
has anyone ever had to go in for an interview?????? |

I am assuming your Gotcha Day was before they decided to mail COC's automatically. That is the case with our oldest son. We readopted first then applied for COC. We had to go in because we had to sign papers and receive the COC that day. It was no big deal.

Some USCIS offices require interviews, and some don't. Other than the hassle of going to the office, it's no big deal. You will probably have to show originals of any documents you submitted in photocopy form. Then, you will wait there while the certificate is prepared.
