I posted a thread on this, but was told i needed to post it with a better title stating the office that we went through. I am looking for people who have gotten their approval back withing the last few weeks. If you got yours from Atlanta office recently, please let me know when you sent everything in and how long you have waited. This waiting thing is getting nerve wracking.

I got my 171 from Atlanta on Dec. 17... it moved pretty quick.. Officer Sandino is the contact person there. Her phone number is 404-334-1030 ext 5245. She was fairly new and very nice to me. She even returned my calls when I left her a message. She told me it moves pretty quickly.. I had to get my social worker to write an additional statement that she should have put in to start with but other than that, it was all they asked for. I think I got my homestudy to the Atlanta office around the last week of November.. Then, I had to wait almost two weeks for my social worker to write her statement.. once they got the statement, they cabled my approval to the Embassy. It was cabled dec. 10, so from the time they first received it, probably 3 weeks.. I was in pretty close contact with Officer Sandino, since we had already accepted our referral and needed it quick. I don't know if she treated me "special" or she's just getting them done now or what.. If you want, you can call her and ask her if she's received your stuff and then ask her what the status is and how long you think it will be.. She was very nice, but towards the end, I think she was ready to get rid of me.. Good luck! Judy
