Updates on babies home in the past 6 months!!!

I just wanted to post an update that I have not had time to post because I am busy with two 6 month old babies!!!!!

Shaun is doing great and he is just about 18 lbs! He is so much fun and rolls over from his stomach to his back and then back over! He eats fruits, veggies and cereal... He came home at 5 months old

Makenna is also doing great and I call her my little peanut! She just turned 6 months also and weighs about 13 lbs! She rolls over also but not as much! She also eats everything! She came home at 4.5 months

I will try and post a picture but last time the file size said it was too big!

I would love to hear from some of the oldies on this board...

What a group of great looking kids! Glad for the updates. (Christine!!! How the heck have you been?).

Here's Brielle, 9+ months old in this picture, home 2.5 months. She says "Mama", has 2 top teeth now, and plays pattycake. Not crawling yet but boy can she stretch, roll and reach for things, LOL.

Home for 9 months!

August was a banner month! Xiomara crawled for the first time and got her first two teeth! She had her first birthday two weeks ago, and rolled over for the first time (!!!) a couple of days ago. She still has a great disposition, sleeps for 10 hours straight, and calls me Lala. Besides lala, her first word was ah choo! She's one year old and already mocking me (I have allergies). She's a bit chunky at almost 23 pounds (size 18 month clothes) she's been consistently at the 75th percentile for height and weight.

In another two weeks, Cole will be 18 months old and with us for 6 months. He is just a happy, loving and fun child. His favorite activities include climbing, playing, waving to everyone and blowing kisses to everyone (especially while shopping ).

He really is a quick learner and the past few days has really been starting to say more and more words.

Cole is a good eater but he especially loves his yogurt and bananas. He has also become a good sleeper (in his own crib...yeah ). At about 7:30-8pm I put him in the crib and withing 10-30 minutes, he's asleep until about 6:30-7am. At which time, he will wake up and play in the crib for a good hour.

I thank God for allowing me to have this wonderful boy. He is truly a blessing.

We have been home over six months now and the twins are wonderful! I am so glad to hear that your one year old has not rolled over. My Isabella is very active, pulls up, crawls everywhere, stands alone, but will not roll over from her back. Once you put her on her back she will not move... she does weigh in at 25lbs so that is part of her problem I think but I have never heard of anything like this.

Grace is 21 lbs now (she was 11 lbs at 51/2 months when I brought her home) She will be walking any day now.

Their birthday is Oct 1st. They say mama dada bye bye, bottle and ball
(everything round is a ball) out ohh, stay( we must tell that to the dog more than we thought) they make all their animal sounds, and we are teaching them sign language and they say eat, more, bottle, all done.

They love music and dance all the time. Anyway I sound like a mother, but they are sooo great I just have to share. Oh year, they sleep 12 hours everynight too!

For everyone waiting... it is sooooo worth it!!!!!
I will try to post a photo....I need to resize I think...

Mary Lynn came home at 7 months old on May 19 (4.5 months ago) She will be one year old on Oct. 9. She has 6 teeth, said her first word....Tada(Tiger) and is trying so hard to walk. My hubby says she should dress up as Frankenstein for Halloween because of the way she walks but I'm still going with the fairy princess costume! Here she is at her early birthday/Christening party.

Hi, just wanted to chime in. Elaina is 9 mos+ and weighed 24 lbs 1 oz at her 9 month checkup... Thats in the 97th percentile. Whatever happened to the "tiny" little Guatemalan genes I kept hearing about? Are the people down there just undernourished instead of naturally small?
My husband calls her "Pelota" (ball). She is crawling all over and climbs all of the stairs...very fast (AHHHH!!!) She has five teeth, 3 on the bottom and two on top, but the ones on top aren't the middle ones, but the next two out. Our Pediatritian said this is fairly common. I guess she'll be Lady Dracula for Halloween. She babbles alot and sometimes says "Hiya." She also claps for "Patty Cake."
