PGN Questions
I too am anxiosly awaiting my exit from PGN and as I sit here daydreaming, as I do everyday almost the whole day I was wondering about a few things. Do you think that as soon as we get the word that we are now in PGN our file is looked at right away. Or.. is there a pile of files that keep getting stacked up and when the reviewers finish one case they go grap another file? How many reviewers are there? And about how many cases are submitted to PGN a week? Guesses anyone? I think that the wait would be easier if you knew when your file was opened- Not just that you are in PGN. Good Luck Everyone

PGN
This may or may not help, but this is what I learned from my 4 month stay in and out of PGN. The cases are entered and given a file number. They are then assigned to a specific reviewer. When they are looked at depends on what that particular reviewer has on his or her desk. Each reviewer has a different method/style for going through the documents. Once the case has been reviewed, it is sent to the Director's desk for signature. The Director must sign for kick outs as well as approvals. Typically previos are signed quicker as the Director is just looking at the previos. The file needs to be reviewed entirely for the Director to sign his approval. Once approved the case is sent downstairs for "stamps" and authentication. This can take a couple of days or more. It is then ready to be picked up by the attorney and is considered out.
Unfortunately, cases do not always go in order of when they went in. Some reviewers will check the whole file on a first review and others will not. A lot is left to luck...some fly through as they hit these various desks at just the right time. I really hope this helps.

Very good description...one additional thing to add. When a file goes to the Director...even if the reviewer has not 'kicked it out'...the Director can. He doesn't just sign off on the cases, he reviews them as well...so it's possible when your case is sent to the Director, you may not come back with a signature at all...you might have another Kick Out. Not what you want to here...but that is the way it works.
Hang in there...it seems most people have been getting out in 1-2 months...so not too much longer!
