I saw on a website somewhere where your friends/family can make a donation to you through a website and they will send it to your agency on your behalf. That way friends etc. can claim it on their taxes as charity. has anyone done or heard of this? I can't remember the website?
I am trying to think of everything we can to raise money. We can't use either of our life insurance, retirement/401k, we want to build a house so we are trying not to use home equity, family hasn't offered to help. |

I don't believe that is possible as it would be technically illegal. While many agencies are non-profit organizations, the work they do processing adoptions can't be considered for tax deductions.

You can set up a family foundation under the National Heritage Foundation.

Has anyone ever used National Heritage Foundation to raise money for their adoption?

Also Kingdom Kids Adoption Ministries does that.
