Question Double stroller recommendations...

I know this question has also been posted many times, but I can't find the old threads.

Do any of you have recommendations on double strollers? I'd like a smaller umbrella-type stroller and also a more sturdy stroller for long walks and travel. I've looked at Consumer Reports and online, but most of the attention and scrutiny is given to single strollers.

Thanks again.....

Sara

I have three double strollers:

a maclaren opus duo- very bulky and difficult to travel with

a j mason umbrella stroller- very durable, lightweight and inexpensive, only neg is seats don't recline

a graco duo glider- love it! folds easily, large underneath basket, reclining seats, inexpensive

Good luck to you!

Graco duoglider is my favorite by far! I've had 6 double strollers in the past 4 years or so. It is inexpensive, easy to fold & both seats recline. I love it!

Hi Sara,

I bought a Maclaren Twin Traveler. I love my Maclaren single, and the double pushes great too! For outdoors....I'm looking at either a Valco double, or a Mountain Buggy Double Urban.

Hope that helps!! .....Renee

I would also recommend the Mountain Buggy Urban Double and the Peg Perego Aria Twin. They are side by side strollers, but narrow enough to fit through a standard doorway. The Mountain Buggy is my favorite, but it weighs 32#. The Aria Twin weighs 14#.... very easy to throw in the car for short shopping trips. If you are looking for a double jogging stroller, go to joggingstroller.com.... they do a great job of comparing the strollers.

Stroller

I have the Combi side by side. I had it for three years.
It was the lightest and sturiest by far of all I looked at. Approximately a year and half ago the handle broke. I called combi and without a receipt or any proof of purchase they sent me the latest model with no questions asked. I am still using it and will use it when we pick up our daughter in a few weeks.

I just bought 2 new strollers...being I have two 5 month old babies home now!

I bought the double snap and go which is wonderful

Then for when they get bigger..I bought the Inglesina Biposto..It is a great stroller but it is heavy! I may have to get one of those electronic arms that lifts wheelchairs up ..I have a Suburban and it is high so I dont want to throw my back out

If I knew how heavy this stroller was I probably would not have gotten it....Live and learn! Inglesina also makes another side by side that looks great. I wanted the front and back for the mall because it is easier to get around....
