laid off/proof of income

I am waiting to exit PGN. I was kicked out once and have been back in for 3 weeks. I am single and unexpectedly got laid off from my job yesterday (as in yesterday was my last day). I did visit my daughter in May and supposedly I don't have to show proof of employment when I apply for the visa, because I have had a prior visit, but I have heard from other parents that I need to be prepared to show a paystub just in case the US Embassy asks for it. I may not find a permanent job before I am notified to travel. I can do some temp work as a nanny, but won't have
an actual paystub to show my income. Any ideas on how I can show that I have income without a paystub? Perhaps a letter from my accountant? I am just not sure how to prepare for this.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Laurie

Hi
I am pretty sure a notarized letter from your accountant re: your income would be fine..I brought the last 3 years of tax returns but since I had been there 3x before we were out of PGN noone ever asked to see them...I also did not have to do an Affadavit of Support..since it was an IR-3 visa and my income alone was more than enough for CIS standards..I dont know if it is different for singles..but I was there by myself and did not have to show any proof of income...I would bring the doc's just to be safe though...
have a great trip!

I am single. I am also self -employed. I run a Child Care / pre school business out of my home. I had my accountant write a letter, stating what I made for that year as well as the previous two years. My net worth was also in the letter. I brought 3 years of tax returns as well.

Hth
Please let me know If I can help in any way!
