I would like to hear from others that changed agencies for their second or other adoptions. We adopted last year, started down the path with our first agency and some things just came up that we could not proceed. We are starting with another agency for "number 2" and I am wondering what others experiences are. I guess I expected always to be in touch with agency number 1 and to have a relationship, but that might not be possible.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

I believe you have to do what makes you feel comfortable and if using another agency does that then you are doing what is best for your family. Will the first agency provide any credit if you paid anything to them? Not sure where you were in the process and when you actually quit. Good Luck with your decision.

We to started to use our 1st agency again, then we started to hear alot of bad things about them on this fourm and we changed our mind. We did not have any real problems with them, but they did not return phone calls very well and little did we know that 8 months to bring our dd home was not that bad. Plus we got are referral asap.

Well on to our 2nd adoption, we went with an agency that people on this fourm highly recomends. Well as you can see I'm still waiting for a girl referral. So time will tell how fast I get done with all the paperwork after the referral.

So would I today still go with my 1st agency ...well maybe yes, I would because I would be close to bringing home my baby. Would I go with my 2nd agency no way.

We switched agencies for our second adoption which are in the middle of now. There are no hard feelings to our first agency. We were really frustrated that our agency couldn't tell us where our case was for the first three months and we could accept that again. There were things they did that were great too, so it was a hard decision. If you have a specific question, let me know.

We completed our first adoption with Agency No. 1, and for this adoption went to Agency No. 2, and since have switched to Agency No. 3 so yes I'd say we changed agencies If you want to PM me to talk about this privately please do so as we are obviously experts at switching.
