COC Received in just 3 weeks!!!
Many of you may have read my post earlier in the week asking when the COC (Certificate of Citizenship) would arrive....Well, guess what? It arrived today!!!! We brought our daughter home just three weeks yesterday and it is already here! Upon receiving the certifcate we went to the local SS office and had her status updated to reflect US Citizen (we received her SS card within a week and a 1/2 of applying). The process only took minutes. She will not receive a new card, - but the status is now correct in the SS computers!
Way to go Homeland Security in Buffalo (that is where the IR3 COC's are issued from....per a letter w/ the certificate).  Last edited by tonyy : 08-19-2004 at 03:12 PM.

Is the COC an automatic thing or do you have to request it?

Hey there!
We got Jakes's welcome letter 2 weekends ago and his Perm. Res. card came this week. That is so cool, McKenna didn't get anything like that I am having a very difficult time getting stuff cleared up on her after 6 1/2 years of her being home!
