Smile Baby rooms..... why don't you post a picture?

Hi Guys,

Do you remember the old thread in which people posted pictures of their nurseries? I think Kennasmom/Kim started the thread. There were some very creative themes and some beautifully done artwork as I remember.

Our room is still just plain old light green. I didn't stamp the dragonflies. I am now thinking about stamping or stenciling a star theme as our bedding (big discount at TJMaxx) has stars on it.

If anyone has any themes or pictures they would like to share..... go to it!!!

Take Care,

Good idea! Here's ours

HI all: Here's a picture or two of our nursery.
It seems like it's been done forever. Hopefully,
in the next couple of weeks, we'll be filling it
up with Matthew.

It is done in the John Lennon theme--Real Love.
The color of the walls is butter yellow and sage green.
I found the changing table at a flea market
and it was made in Italy. It has a fold up top changing
piece that "hides" when you aren't using it and has 4 drawers
and a cabinet underneath. Made of washable white
hard material, not sure what but I love it!

I made a great deal on the dresser in the corner
at Burlington Coat factory. It was a floor model already
on sale but I found a nick on it and he reduced it even
more!

Anyway, I have had a blast working on the room and so
glad now that I did it ahead, that way I didn't have to rush
through it. I savored it.

Here is ours. When I was pregnant with my son we didn't find out his gender ahead of time so we went with a gender neutral nursery. This time we went all out with the pink since Mary Lynn is our one and only little girl.

OH..I wish I could.. Right now, my babies room is a storage mess. We started in on an office and now the half done job has caused a box pile up in the soon to be babies room.

However, I am working around this and can describe whats going on. I purchased a very bright blue patchwork quilt in Guatemala. That will be on the bed with lotsa of dark red and plum and mustard colored yellow pillows... We are doing a chair molding about at window height, putting wains coating wood slats stained on the below and a cream color on the top with a mural.. Right now in the far corner, we have already drawn out a large tree and a very tall giraffe eating off of it. It is so cute. I also bought wooden giraffes and elephants in guatemala so it has turned into a sorta safari/jungle theme....but that is NOT without the all-terrain 4wd jeep painted in the opposite corner (my husbands requirement). The window coverings will be made out of tent canvas and pulled back with rope and big snaps. LOVE IT. Can't wait to get it done. Joey is going to go crazy over it.

I'll post a pick soon. Love this thread - I do interior decorating as a side job...this is right up my alley. Also love the two pics that have been posted....absolutely adorable.

Sorry -- the photo posting thing is eluding me at the moment, but we have pictures of Spencer's nursery on our web-site at www.geocities.com/jmpaakkonen. When we thought we might adopt from Russia or Kazakhstan, we went with the "Outer Space" or Cosmonaut theme. Now that our little guy is Guatemalan, we still like the theme and the bright colors. I could not resist a map of the world for the wall!

I love everyone else's nurseries -- makes me want 4 or 5 little Guatemaletecos!

I don't have pictures to post but we did our son's room in Fantasia's "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" featuring the one and only Mickey Mouse. We painted the walls blue, with one midnight blue wall. On this wall we stuck plastic glow-in-the-dark stars in comet pattern around a picture of Mickey "orchestrating" them. You can buy the stars at Wal-Mart or Target. His curtains and comforter are the same blue as the dark wall and have glow-in-the-dark stars too. The rest of the room is filled with pictures and figurines and stuffed toys of Sorcerer Mickey. He loves his Mickeys and has to have all 6 of his stuffed ones in his bed every night.

I know this is kind of an old thread, but now I can finally share MY pictures. I loved looking at the super cute rooms above, and I hope others will share, too.

I've not tried attaching a picture before, so we'll see what happens...

Hi! I love the rooms! Our three little ones share one room and with two girls and one boy it can be a little challenging! lol! But here is what we did. Each one has their own corner. Can't wait to build our new house, we are looking for the right spot of land right now, so that each of our five children will have their own bedroom except for the youngest two girls who will share. Anyway, for the amount of space we have, I was really pleased! This is Lucy's corner. Right now she doesn't use it as she is still tiny enough to fit into the bassinette by my bed.

Our daugher's room soon to be our second daughter's room

Here is our picture. As soon as our second precious one arrives we will move our little one into her bigger room which we will begin to remodel soon with toddler bed and all as we will use the nursery that is pictured for our younger baby.

My husband made the shelf with the Beanie Baby Bears in it and our daughter loves it.
