Gong to Visit!
HI Everyone!
Ah finally we are going to visit our little baby. We are both so excited! Is anyone going to be in Guatemala from Feb. 12-15th? If yes, my hubby and I would love to get together with other adoptive parents...well that is if you will be in the Marriot. We can't leave the hotel with our litttle bundle of joy. I thought we would tour the city alittle, but decided we would rather have the whole time with our baby since it is such a short trip! Hugs, Summer

SUMMER,
I am searching right now about the possibility of a visit..Can you make any suggestions about flights or hotels? I haven't even checked with our agency about this.. They had frowned about this previously...But, our boy will be 1 yoa on 2-14-04!!! And we are waiting in the PGN!! Any suggestions would be great! We stayed at the Marriott and loved it. The staff was great and very accommodating. Within the hotel, there are restaurants, gift shops, an outside garden area, gym, and a heated pool. We decided on the room that was a little more expensive but it gave us access to the Concierge Lounge. In the lounge, they served breakfast (great coffee), drinks (from water to wine/beer), afternoon snacks and a light dinner. I am not sure what they did at lunch time because we would order a big lunch in our room. The lounge also gave you unlimited access to the internet and an extra place to socialize. Good luck!

Angel, We got our flights through Continental. They were around $630 each. As for the hotel. Our Adoption agency is making our reservation. I do know that checking on the internet, the Marriotte is listed at $80, I believe. I hope you are able to go visit your son, especially since it is his birthday. Good luck! Summer

Alot of Adoptive Families hang out by the pool!

We will be visiting on the 14th thru 20th. We arrive Sat evening and Sun we are taking a tour of Antigua. We won't get Alex till Monday morning.
What time are you leaving? Maybe we can get together sometime. Pam ps-we will be at the Marriott also.
