Visa pre-approval timeframe
How long is it taking folks to get visa pre-approval once DNA is received by the embassy? (if the case is not sent to investigation)
Also, are you entering PGN without pre-approval? (I know that you can enter, but will get kicked out eventually) Thanks so much. Linda |

Our dna was received on November 27 and we still do not have visa pre-approval. I had e-mailed the embassy and they e-mailed me back and said it was not issued yet and to wait another 2 weeks for processing. Our attorney will not enter us into PGN without it. Our daughter just turned 7 months old at the end of December. We never thought it would be a problem to get visa pre-approval. Our coordinator thought we would be in PGN by Christmas yet here we are. We aren't any closer than we were before Thanksgiving.

We have been waiting for visa pre-approval for 8 weeks now. The embassy says we need to be patient. I don't know how much more patient I can be.

Lisa Lopez says.....
I have emailed her numerous times as well as Roy Hernendez...30-45 days is the norm...that is what they say anyway...though it was happening in a couple of weeks before.....add to that 2 weeks for the huge backlog...60 days! They received our DNA on 11/24/03 they say they are processing that week now. Our embassy is now holding us up when the PGN is ready to roll!

I got the same response to my email of couple of days ago. 30-45 days, and that they were currently working on the last week of November. They've had our results since 12/18/03.

I don't know exactly how long all of you have been waiting, but I can tell that at least some of you have been waiting for far too long. I will pray that you receive your visa preapproval very soon so you can bring your children home!
