This is a story about my husband that I thought could bring a smile to your day!!! My husband (who is a member of this site -love ya dear) has never changed a diaper!! He was asked by his brother to babysit our niece who is 2 1/2. He agreed but was concerned that he would have to change a diaper..but his brother told my husband "Nope..she is potty trained". So, after picking her up from daycare that went to Home Depot, McDonalds for ice cream then made a stop at Grandpa's house. Our niece then declared....Uncle D "I need to go poop". He stated "Go ahead you know where the bathroom is" She says "Can you go with me?" He says "No, your a big girl"... HeHe.. Little did he know!!!!
A few minutes later she comes out of the bathroom with her pants around her ankles and little something special in her hands declaring "Boogers". Grandpas grabs the so called "Boogers" with a tissue and Uncle D says "it looks like bubble gum"...Grandpa laughs and says "Sure doesn't smell like bubble gum".... Discovering that it's "POOP"!!! Uncle D..now knows that she doesn't know how to wipe herself..But she tried! He follows her to the bathroom walking along a trail of poop. He tells her "Ok lets clean you up" and she does the old... bend over and grab your ankles...He almost looses his cookies!!!!!! So, his new motto is "If kids say "boogers" don't trust them!! Thought this would make you smile. Our family has surely laughed everytime we tell the story.. )Angel Waiting on Ethan 2-14-03 Referral 3-11-03 Dossier to Guat End of April 2003 Entered PGN 12-5-03 Waiting for the Call |

Cute story. Thanks for the laugh. Sounds like your husband handled it pretty well. LOL! Lots more stories like that to come when your little one arrives home. Hope that is real soon.
God Bless, Anne |

I have to say dh and I haven't laughed so hard in a LOOOOONG time! We've decided this could be his brother, too - he loves our 15 month old but the minute the words diaper and change are in the same sentence, he runs for the door. I can also see our Katie carrying her boogers around proudly!
Thanks again!!!!!! ![]()

How funny----I'm glad he's getting in some good training now because the best is really yet to come. I bet he goes to the bathroom with her next time she asks!
Thanks for sharing. Patty |
