Translation please!

Does anyone know what "ciento dichosa" means? Our 9 year old sent us a letter (which was wonderful and very touching by the way) and wrote that she was ciento dichosa that we will be her forever family.

According to my Spanish dictionary ciento means one hundred and dichosa means blessed or happy. So it should mean one hundred percent happy or blessed one hundred percent.

Asked my Guatemalan dh

He said it means that she feels very fortunate to have you as her family. He explained it as a bit of an expression - "very fortunate/lucky". How sweet.

translation

Ok...ciento does mean 100, but I am guessing that they wanted to actually say siento with an s versus a c. The construction ciento dichosa would be gramatically incorrect in Spanish. Siento means "I feel" and the construction Siento dichosa would mean "I feel blessed".

I am Spanish AND a Spanish teacher, so if you ever need help with translations, don't hesitate to contact me.
