One more thing about our trip last week

Hi all!

I was reading about little Alexandra's first birthday party at the Marriot and realized that I had forgotten to mention something about our trip last week.

We traveled home on Continental airlines at 1 in the afternoon on the 19th of November. There were THREE babies coming home just on that flight!!! I was very impressed by that. Two of the little ones were 11 months old and one was 9 months old. Just thought I'd share that bit of good news. We also stayed at the Marriot and saw lots of families visiting and some bringing their little ones home.

There is hope!!!

Kim

Hearing good things about the Marriott

Glad your trip went well.. It seems like alot of people have been staying at the Marriott. I have stayed at the Westin 2x and Clarion Suites 1x. I am tempted to try the Marriott..

Are the rates better? Is the service worth staying their?

I know their are pros and cons to every hotel.
Thanks, Lisa R.

Lisa

I have talked to people who swear by the Westin and those who swear by the Marriott. We have only stayed at the Marriott, but have always enjoyed our stay there and continue to go back.

The rates are comparable, but I have heard the Westin's standard rooms are a bit bigger. We always stay in the bilevel suite in the Marriott. Worth the extra money, especially when you have a baby who is either crawling or beginning to walk! The bilevel suite was actually one of the reasons we initially chose to stay at the Marriott, because my mom was traveling with us and the couch on the lower level folds out into a rather comfy sofa bed. They also have a very nice pool area and courtyard with fountains that is great for pics.

The staff at both hotels are excellent, from what I have heard people say about the Westin and from my own personal experience at the Marriott. I have heard people say the food is better at the Marriott (we have never gotten a bad meal there). Breakfast is included at both hotels in your room rate.

I think it boils down to personal preference, actually.

And yes, all the recent outs have me hopeful that once we finally get into PGN we'll be out in record time!!!

Hotels in Guatemala

Hi Everyone!

Consider the Radisson - they have a baby floor (6th floor) - a suite that's fully equipped with everything for a baby. It was great!
