HI Everyone, I am new to the board. I too am a single Mom. I brought my Daughter Rena home in April of 2002. If I can be of any help to anyone please let me know. It is a rough journey but once your baby is in your arms it will be more than worth it.

Hello, I am Mom to Jaeden. DOB 7/13/02, Home 1/17/03. I too know how hard it is for the wait. But despite the wait and how long it takes to get them home, once they're in your arms, the wait is forgotten. Hang in there it will happen.
Also Mom to 2 labs and 2 cats. |

Shoshana!
Sorry, I am not single, but I noticed that Shoshana is from SE WI and I am in NE Wisconsin. I would love to be able to talk to you about adoption from Guatemala. My hubby and I just decided yesterday that we are going to go ahead with it. We are thinking of working with Children's Home Society of Minnesota as well as with a local agency here in Appleton, WI to do the home study. Any thoughts or tips for me? How long will the whole process take? I figured max 2 years but I hope is less.
THANKS!!! Cat |

Hi,
I'm Mary Anne and mom to Maria (8-Mexico) and Johana (almost 4 Guatemala, home 8 months). I'm just getting past the initial shock of 2 kids and I can't believe I could be dreaming about more. I must be losing my mind! Hang in there for all you waiting. It took me almost 3 years for Johana so I feel your pain Mary Anne (Illinois) |
