new and wanted to share this
Hi Guys,
I am sorta new to this forum. I have been a lurker for several months now. Although I have been in the chat room a couple of times, I have never posted to this part of the board before. I have always been a little leary of putting personal information on any type of internet site. Because as some of you have said in the past you never know is watching. Our story is a very long one. But I'll try to summarize. We have one daughter that we adopted from Guat in 1996. We are currently trying to adopt daughter #2. We are not using an agency, are dealing directly with attorney in Guat. We begain this process 3 years ago. It took 2 1/2 years to get a referral. Daughter#2 was born in December of 02. It has been a long and stress filled road for us. Alot of tears have been shed. Since then have had to redo I-600A, had to do new homestudy. and are now working on new dossier. Anyway I received this e-mail from my sister-in-law today and wanted to share it with all of you. I know I have asked myself this question on a daily basis since we began this journey. Sonja PIECE OF CAKE Sometimes we wonder, "What did I do to deserve this?" or "Why did God have to do this to me?" Here is a wonderful explanation! A daughter is telling her Mother how everything is going wrong. She's failing algebra, her boyfriend broke up with her and her best friend is moving away. Meanwhile her Mother is baking a cake and asks her daughter if she would like a snack. The daughter says, "Absolutely Mom, I love your cakes." "Here, have some cooking oil," her mother offers. "Yuck" says her daughter. "How about a couple raw eggs?" "Gross, Mom!" "Would you like some flour then? Or maybe baking soda?" "Mom, those are all yucky!" To which the mother replies: "Yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves. But when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake! God works the same. Many times we wonder why He would let us go through such bad and difficult times. But God knows that when He puts these things all in His order, they always work for good! We just have to trust Him and, eventually they will make something wonderful! God is crazy about you. He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning. Whenever you want to talk, He'll listen. He can live any where in the universe, and He chose your heart. I hope your day is a "piece of Cake" |
