Hi everyone,
I just wanted to start out saying that we should all be very proud of all of those who are not giving up hope!!! This is my husband 's and my 2nd adoption. The first one failed miserably!!! With our new agency and new baby girl (hopefully ours) things have really proceeded quite quickly. We just sent our POA down on April 8th and are definately a transitional case. We went into PGN on June 25th and just received word today that we were kicked out due to not being "hague compliant". That made me crazy!! Then this afternoon I received a call from CA and they wanted to know the name of the baby girl we're adoption and some other specific info. I gave them all the info. and they went to get our file. They said that the only thing we needed to complete our adoption is to do a biography of our lives and why we want to adopt this little girl and we also needed a psych. exam. I should have asked this, but I was so caught off guard I didn't . I'm hoping someone here will know and please help me!!! I also forgot to ask how long the biolgraphy should be. Maybe if someone knows our Becky, if you're reading this, PLEASE, PLEASE HELP!!!!! God Bless us all carynpro

Our biographies were only about a page for each of us. We summarized the type of home we grew up in, if our parents were married or divorced, how many siblings, how we were disciplined, education history, any prior marriage and why it ended, what we do for a living, what our homelife is like now, what we do for fun/hobbies, and why we were adopting. It's really not so bad.

I am confused!!! How did CA know your telephone number? Had you called them and asked them to return your call? Our agency has explicitly said that we should NOT be contacting CA and that they are giving out false information. Hmmmm--Why oh why do we all get different information? Please elaborate a little bit about how CA got a hold of you??? Thanks much,

I'm confused too! Your biography should be part of your home study, someone correct me if I'm wrong. CA is now contacting parents, what is going on? Did you contact your agency, and if so what did they say about this?

If psych. eval. are being required, why don't they announce it? I don't understand.

I know I'd be speechless if they called me out of the blue. Maybe this is a sign that your case is moving!

Well, this is the scoop(for this minute) I have no idea why or what is going on but I'm very happy about it. I'm completely speculating that maybe CA is starting to contact parents. That was the only logical reason I could come up with. I did contact my agency and they said we were the second family that had called and told them Ca contacted them too. Although, the other family got so confused and the woman in Guat. didn't speak English she hung up. So, I have no idea why they contacted her. I'm still not sure why they contacted me!!!!! I pray every day for good news for us all and hopefully today some came our way. So, I'm moving along with the Biography of our lives and psych. exam. I'm not clear what the psych. exam entails, but I'll jump through hoops if that means our daughter will be home soon!!!
Where are you in your case? I hope in a good spot.

Interesting development....not sure I understand the need for a bio because all the things you list are in your homestudy already...

Also, if you have a psych eval without any sort of guidelines, how will you know it will fulfill the requirement?

Were you ever in PGN or did your case go directly to CA from FC?

If CA releases your case where do you think you final fee will go? To CA or to the attorney?

Definitely keep us posted on your progress.

I'm curious what everyone else thinks, if CA actually starts moving and finalizaing cases and parents start to bring their children home after exiting CA do you think the attorneys will start to move the cases to CA or keep trying to enter them into PGN.

I know they are similar, PGN & CA, but different and I think I understand at least the basis of the legal issues against the CA but if they are moving cases I wonder what will happen.

I know there are a lot of if, ands or buts with all of this ....

and went into pgn 6-14

then kicked out

they wont let out the 1000 cases????
