We are a pre-June 30 case and have NOT had the DNA testing done yet. Attorney said they had to wait until procedure was put in place. Has anyone had DNA testing done in the last couple of weeks OR had their agency communicate that DNA testing is scheduled? NEED to hear some good news soon....I'm going crazy!!!!!!

Interesting. Our DNA was authorized to be done on June 26, but when I called Labcorp yesterday they told me that the sample was not even collected yet. My husband is going to email our agency tomorrow and find out why- I'll let you know what the deal is according to our agency.

The Embassy is not accepting any papers for DNA authorization. Ever since they posted the information about the March 5 - June 30th deadline, they have not accepted any. Mainly because they are not sure what the new procedures are going to be so they are waiting on the Central authority.

Rumor that I have heard is that the Embassy will no longer have to give authorization that the DNA will be done in Guatemala from now on. That is just a rumor though. Might be worth looking into though.

Hi,

My hope-to-be son (how's that for an awkward phrase?) and his birthmother had their tests done on July 4 and I received the results from LabCorp on July 14. Apparently we just squeaked through before the Embassy stopped giving approvals. Now we'll see if they follow through with the visa pre-approval.

We have DNA authorization but no test date yet,I noticed our credit card bill was charged on July 1 but no news yet on when it will be done.
We are a post march 5th case too.

Labcorp said that we have embassy approval and we were waiting for the appt. to be set up. That's all I've heard.

We received our Embassy Pre-approval dated June 25

We had our DNA done on 7/9. Labcorp shows
99.99% match on July 15

birthmom Interview on July 19 - out of FC this week and hopefully into pgn/ca as soon as they let us (we are post 3/5 pre 6/30)

Still Waiting.. I have no clue what's up. We received referral 3-11-03 and submitted paperwork (dossier) to Guatemala at the end of April. I haven't heard any updates on our case. Agency stated we are waiting for authorization of DNA and birthmom interview. Honestly, I wonder if they are just holding onto the paperwork waiting for procedures to be activated. If this is the case, I try to understand..But also question What for? I see many cases progressing and I feel like we have it a brick wall. Just trying to remain positive that the agency is doing all possible to move our case! Nonetheless, its getting very hard.
