I would like to hear from others that are waiting for DNA to be done. We accepted our referral the end of May. It took awhile for the attorney to get the paperwork translated,etc. When they went to ask for approval to do DNA (first week of July), they were told that they were NOT approving DNA requests due to the new procedures (setting up the new lab, etc.) Apparently, our attorney is ready to go with the paperwork just as soon as he hears WHAT he is suppose to do to get the approval/DNA. This is our third Guatemalan adoption and even with the other two, there were many changes, delays, etc. HOWEVER this time around, it is very frustrating that our cases are being stalled WAITING for new procedures and processes to be put in place. I'll gladly follow the requirements they put in place. FRUSTRATED? You bet! I had hoped to have my daughter home by Christmas......now I will feel lucky to have her home by her first birthday! Robin

Still waiting on DNA and birthmom interview. We accepted a referral in the middle of March to a baby boy born 2-14-03.. Our dossier arrived in Guatemala at the end of April. Still no word on anything...This has been the longest wait.......Our agency told us that it appears to be taking longer to have these procedures scheduled. Who knows!!!!
