On a brighter note
Well our day finally came. On June 18th my mom and husband flew to Guatemala to bring our little Zach home. We never thought this day would come but now that it has the wait seemed so short even though it was almost 10 months of smiles, tears and fears. To everyone who said they bond quickly you were so right. When they put him in my arms for the first time I got the smile of a lifetime and for 2 days he would not go to anyone else except his mommy and daddy. He is just starting to pull himself up. This kid will eat anything you put in front of him. Since he has been home he has tried tuna fish, bagels, fruit loops and any gerber food. The first couple of nites we stayed at my mom's and he was quite fussy but last nite was his first nite in his own crib and sleeped from 10:30-2 and than again from about 2:15 till 7:30 am. I will try and keep everyone up to date and visit this wonderful, supportive board when I get free mins.
To those of you haven't yet got to experience the incredible joy, you are in our thoughts. In light of recent events, we fully realize how truly blessed we are right now. We hope each and every expectant parent will get to bring their child home.

It is great to hear from you and little Zach! I am so glad that you have him home and are able to get on with raising that little cutie! I too can't wait until we can all post that our little one's are home and that this mess in Guate is over! Keep posting pictures he is a real angel. Jill, so glad to hear he is home safe and sound! I agree these kids transition beautifully, he looks as happy as can be! I too hope everyone gets there babies home soon, so they can share in the wonderful joy these children bring into our lives, Maggie has been home about 6 weeks, now, I cant imagine life without her!! keep us updated please !!!!! mary

Oh Jill, I am SO happy for you, and I am so glad you posted. You also had a long hard road, but you hung in there and perservered and you were justly rewarded. You set a shining example for everyone of the power of love! Your baby is beautiful.

I am so happy that Zach is finally home. Matt has been home 2 weeks. I feel like I know you since we were stuck in PGN together and got out at the same time. Zach looks precious. I pray for God to give all of you a life of continued blessings! Jackie
