My son is gone.
If anyone has been following my postings, I filed with DHS in Tennessee to have my birth son's records opened to me.
The letter came last night. He is deceased. The only child I ever had. I had such high hopes. They won't tell me when he passed away and under what circumstances. I can't even cry. I'm afraid to. How in the world am I going to tell my Mother? She's elderly and was so excited. Is this really happening? I have really tried to live a good life. I thought I was going to finally have a chance to tell him how much I have always loved and missed him. Those of you who are Christians please pray for me and the soul of my son. Thank you for letting me vent. Kim D.

It is ok to vent and this is the place to do it. We are all here to support each other in the triad. Thru thick and thin, joy and sorrow.
I cannot imagine what you are feeling. I am soooooo very sorry for your loss. I am an adoptee who was surrendered with an older brother into the same family. I was the one who had to tell our firstmom that he passed away years ago. I will pray for you and your healing and know your son is in God's arms, at peace and can support and Love you from Heaven above

Kim, I am so very sorry for your loss and cannot imagine how you must be feeling but my heart is just breaking for you. I bet you have a million questions running through your mind and no answers. Can you request more information from DHS or perhaps have them contact your son's aparents?

Hi everyone.
First, let me thank you all for your support. It's unreal how much it helps from those who are part of the adoption triad. Others are kind but I can tell they just don't "get it." I am going to call DHS in Nashville today and see if someone won't just tell me PLEASE what happened to him and when. I can't believe I may never be able to visit my son's grave. I think my overwhelming emotion right now is anger. I know that given time I will accept this and heal but right now I'm just p****d. I love you guys and I mean it. Kim formerly hopeful birth mother
